Halifax Discovered

A discovery recently was made of a World War II Halifax bomber, which was buried in southern Poland after being shot down. Apparently it had been carrying supplies and ammunition to Polish forces during the Warsaw Uprising.

This plane belonged to the Royal Air Force and contained both British and Canadian personnel when it went down.

Earlier this summer another WWII treasure was discovered -- Germany's Graf Zeppelin aircraft carrier sunken in the Baltic Sea off the coast of Poland: Like a Lead Zeppelin?

I haven't seen any recent updates on the Zeppelin story.
